Mercury Free Pressure Sensors

Gefran Melt pressure sensors are designed to satisfy every need in plastics processing. Gefran is able to provide to its customers different Melt pressure transducers for different applications at high process temperatures, up to 540°C.
Between the filled-in Gefran sensors the Melt pressure transducers filled with sodium-potassium are those able to work at the highest temperatures (i.e. up to 538°C), assuring a total compliance with the maximum levels of accuracy and of reliability.

The K3 Series are pressure sensors for use in high temperature applications where the process temperatures may reach 538°C (1000°F) such as high temperature engineered polymers.

Melt pressure sensors

Gefran Melt pressure sensors are designed to satisfy every need in plastics processing. Gefran is able to provide to its customers different Melt pressure transducers for different applications at high process temperatures, up to 1000°F.

Specialist in industrial furnaces, Linn High Thermal with over 120 employees is based in Eschenfelden, Germany, needed to setup an induction for melting tests on several metals (from platinum to iron). Induction furnaces are electrical furnaces in which the heat is applied by induction heating of metal.
The advantage of an induction furnace is a clean, energy-efficient and well-controllable melting process compared to most other means of metal melting.
One of the advantages of induction furnaces is the capability to melt several different metals.
The need of Linn was to have a flexible solution, that could manage in an easy way different thermal cycles, with or without vacuum: with induction, the part to be heated never comes into direct contact with a flame or other heating element; the heat is induced within the part itself by alternating electrical current.

control the car position.

Gefran Model 400-401 Single Display Controller

These Gefran product are microprocessor controller, manufactured using SMT with a 48x48 (1/16 DIN) format.
It has a complete operator interface, protected by a Lexan® membrane that ensures a face plate protection level IP65.
It have 4 keys, 4 digits display, 2 indicating LED's for 400 model, and the 401 model has 3 indicating LED's and a further 3 LED's bar-graph.

Gefran GD -Single phase Solid State Relay with logic control and diagnostics

The GD series of solid state relays (zero crossing type) are solid state actuators with heater break diagnostics (Hb function), selectable current scale, and adjustable setpoint. Junction overheat protection is also an available option. An alarm signal is provided in output as well. The GD series of solid state realays are offered with currents of 40A, rated voltage 480 Vac, and Vdc input control signal. Voltage transistors are protected by MOV (varistor).

TU Load cell

These TU of load cells are designed for the measurement of static or dynamic loads in compression or traction. All of them are calibrated as load cells in units of mass (Kg). The TU series is supplied for nominal loads from 50 Kg to 1 T. This has an IP67 protection degree so it can be used in aggressive atmospheres often found in the chemical industries. The transducer body is machined from a single piece of stainless steel with no welding. This means that it is highly resistant to mechanical shock and vibration. The compact size means that these can be placed in positions that are difficult to acess and where little space is available.
